Civil Engineer – Coalisland Public Realm


Key Responsibilities and Duties

Involvement in day to day running of contract including but not limited to:

  • ·        Report to Project Manager in charge of projects
  • ·        Setting out of all works on site- competent in the use of Total Station & GPS equipment
  • ·        Regularly checking and surveying of ongoing works
  • ·        Completion of the site Diary Record Sheets
  • ·        Compilation of photographic records of progress or delays on site on a daily basis
  • ·        Liaising with Estimator to provide measures for valuations and also to inform of any additional works which may arise
  • ·        Review latest issue construction drawings and documents for discrepancies and errors
  • ·        Highlight any technical problems & provide information for Early Warning Notices
  • ·        Ensure construction operations are carried out in accordance with the contract, current Health & Safety regulations, Environmental and Quality requirements as                  per project RAMS
  • ·        Implement company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality policies in conjunction with the H&S Manager & PM
  • ·        Carry out Quality inspections in accordance with company policy and keep records of same
  • ·        Ensure all site operatives have clear, accurate and appropriate information to carry out their duties
  • ·        Supervision of Sub-contractors and monitor their performance
  • ·        Assist in preparation of Traffic Management (TM)  Plans and also the implementation and supervision of TM arrangements
  • ·        Compiling “As Built” information for Handover File


Qualifications / Training


  • ·        Degree in relevant area i.e Civil Engineering/Construction
  • ·        2 Years onsite experience
